Module 1

Listening (Listening Test)

First you will have to listen to the audios that which are played just once and you will have to listen to them perfectly well and manage to get the answers. You will have some to ponder over your answers as well after the completion of the recordings. There will be four sections in listening

Listening section – 1

Listening section – 2

Listening section - 3

Listening section – 4

Listening Section 1 will be a discussion between two people. You will have to listen to the discussion and answer accordingly.

Listening Section 2 would be a monologue. A person will be describing something and you will have to answer, understanding the same thing.

Listening section 3 would again be a conversation between two or among three or even four people. You will have to be very much focused when you listen to it because a lapse will let you closer to a mistake or wrong choice of the answer.

Listening section 4 again would be a monologue. This would be a bit lengthier as well so have to stay very much focused and continue answering the questions.

There can be ten questions in each section of the listening. The first two sections are often connected to the social needs and the last two sections are often based on educational contexts or the contexts related to training etc.

Questions can be of any type

  • Multiple type questions

  • Short answer questions

  • Incomplete sentences

  • Notes / tables / forms etc

  • A flow chart, labeling a diagram etc

  • Classification, matching etc

Remember: You will hear the recording just once and if you do not pay attention then you will miss this section.

Ten minutes will be allowed for the candidates or the applicants to transfer their answers to the answer sheet.
